In August of 2008 Edgerton had a vision of a handmade baby blanket for every newborn delivered through our health care center. Since August of 2008, hundreds of infants have been "delivered" a new or handmade, keepsake blanket, as a birth gift. That has only been possible because

Assist in the Back to School program by helping organize, provide, prepare, and deliver supplies to students who would otherwise not have the appropriate materials needed for school.

United Way of North Central Iowa's Backpack Buddies program provides meals to food insecure elementary school children across north central Iowa. Volunteers fill plastic sacks with nutritious, non-perishable, easy-to-open meals and snacks which are distributed to children to take home over the weekend.

We have a drop-in Center for the mentally ill in downtown Ottumwa. We need cleaning done on a regular basis and are seeking volunteers to assist with this. more
Angel House is an 11 bed transitional house for homeless women trying to live in recovery. With that comes piles of paperwork and a lot of opportunities for the right people to mentor our residents.
We currently have 4 people on staff: a full-time Executive Director and 3 part-term resident

On July 13, 2013, the museum will host its third annual Lumberjack Festival. Over 2,000 people attend the Festival and there is a full day of activities and lumberjack competitions. All proceeds go towards creating exhibits and educational programming that tell the lumber story of Clinton.

The Supplies Assistant will help provide accurate supplies that are essential to LifeServe Blood Center’s mobile blood drive operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Check in with supervisor at the beginning of shift to plan the daily tasks and priorities
• Organize and pull supplies for donor centers and mobile teams
