To make sure that people can easily find out about the volunteer positions your organization has available, you need to register for an "Agency" Volunteer Solutions (VS) account. There is no cost.
Iowa organizations are encouraged to register for an account through their local volunteer coordination center (VCC) or United Way as their point of entry into the system; a list is available online. If your county is not currently covered by a VCC or Volunteer Solutions system, we invite you to register for an Agency account on the statewide system managed by the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service.
If you already have an account with Volunteer Solutions or 1-800-Volunteer.org all you need to do is make sure your listings are up to date and that your account settings allow information sharing. Any needs you list through your own system will automatically be included in the Iowa system and will also be available to volunteers searching the national volunteer matching portal at www.serve.gov.
