Math Tutors Needed Immediately

Fred A. Toomer Elementary School is a Title 1, low-income school in the Kirkwood Neighborhood of Atlanta. We are working relentlessely to increase our students' academic achievement and we need your help! To better serve our students in mathematics, we have written and received a grant to initiate an after-school math program, "Wild About Math." The program will address specific needs of individual students to prepare them for the Georgia standardized test. We will accomplish this through the use of manipulatives, games and small group instruction. We are in need of reliable and dedicated volunteers to spend one afternoon each week assisting students with math. When: February 26 - April 13. Mondays or Thursdays from 3:00 - 4:30pm.
