Youth Self-reliance Courses
Volunteers Needed for Youth Self-Reliance Courses. Volunteers are needed to lead a group of elementary and/or middle school aged children through "I'm Peer Proof" and/or "A Gift of Giving" self-reliance courses. Through these courses, youth learn to act more assertively and maintain positive friendships while resisting negative peer pressure and to provide service in their communities. Self-reliance courses are conducted in public and private schools, day care facilities, faith-based institutions, youth centers . . . wherever there is a group of children needing to be strong, safe and self-confident.
