Grady Health System- Bilingual Volunteers

Spanish speaking volunteers are needed in various areas (i.e. Mother-Baby Unit, Labor & Delivery, Rape Crisis and Ante partum). This involves giving one-on-one communication assistance to Spanish-speaking patients/visitors. This is a great assignment for native speakers and people wanting to strengthen their interpreting skills. No medical interpreting is required. This enriching opportunity creates a positive experience for patients and visitors.

Minimum assignment 3 hours per shift, once a week (except for Volunteer Rape Counselor assignment) for three months; Completion of training courses required for certain assignments.  For additional information, contact Shana Lightfoot, Volunteer Coordinator at 404 616 5592
