Environmental Clubs Come Together To Recycle

RSS XML FeedBackground Active Dec 20, 2011 to Jan 20, 2012

Students from environmental clubs at Central, West, and North High Schools came together on December 20, 2011 to help place recycling labels on 150 containers donated by the City of Davenport's Public Works Department. The Waste Commission of Scott County supplied the recycling labels and showed students how to place the labels. While Davenport Community Schools currently recycle around 50 to 60 tons of paper and cardboard a year, the placement of these new recycling containers in school hallways will make recycling paper and cardboard even easier.
