On July 13, 2013, the museum will host its third annual Lumberjack Festival. Over 2,000 people attend the Festival and there is a full day of activities and lumberjack competitions. Would you like to help the Child Abuse Council reach our Lifesaver Canister Day goal of $100,000? We need over 300 volunteers on June 15, 2013 to help us raise funds to help eliminate child abuse and neglect through treatment, education and prevention. Come and play a vital role during our busy spring field trip season. School Groups Hosts welcome and assist visiting school groups during field trips to the Putnam. Provide teacher guidance for check in and take your group though a “meet and greet”, highlighting both the student rules of the museum and some of the interesting facts, exhibition features and information. GiGi's Playhouse is looking for a volunteer Program Coordinator to assist with maintaining program schedules, sending program reminders via email and Constant Contact, and coordinating with program hosts to identify volunteer and/or material needs for programs. This position would probably take 5-10 hours per month and much of it can be done from home. more

We are revising our web site which uses Word Press and have limited knowledge of this program. We'd like help with different stages of development and tutoring. Our current web site is Davenportgoldcoast.org. The person who originally set up the site has moved on, and we have little experience and would like to become more knowledgeable as the new site is launched. more

Each Saturday Habitat for Humanity serves lunch to our amazing Volunteers. We are in need of Organizations, church groups, or induviduals that will provide a lunch for one of our build sites.
