Local Vision: Big Brothers Big Sisters will be the recognized leader of successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them contributing to better schools, brighter futures, and stronger communities for all.

Description:
Big Brothers Big Sisters offers a number of different mentoring environments for adults to have a positive and memorable experience. Each program is carefully structured and orchestrated to insure the compatibility, safety and success of each relationship created.
Mentoring environments include:
• Community-Based program – a one-to-one match relationship rooted in community experiences
• School-Based program – a one-to-one match relationship rooted in the public school environment
• Campus-Based program – a one-to-one match relationship rooted in experiences within the after school environment.
• Career Navigators – a one-to-one match relationship rooted in academic performance, career exploration and high school graduation
Minimum volunteer requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to allocate at least 2 hours a month to the relationship
• Must complete an in-person interview and pass a background and reference check
• Must be willing to participate in the relationship for a minimum of 12 months.
