CASI's vision is to be recognized by the community to be the premier resource center for persons over the age of sixty. CASI's mission is to provide services that meet the needs of older adults, and fosters respect, dignity and quality of life.

Description:
The Center for Active Seniors, Inc. (CASI) was established in 1973 as the Commission for Aging Senior Iowans, and was originally located in downtown Davenport, Iowa. In 1989 CASI moved to its current location on Kimberly Rd. in Davenport, and was remodeled in 2005-2006, transforming CASI into a 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art senior center. This remodel also included the addition of Jane's Place, which is an Iowa licensed adult day services program that serves an average of 110 clients each year from Scott and Rock Island Counties.

Dedicated to serving older adults in the greater Quad Cities area, CASI boasts daily activities, classes, community forums, a fitness center and educational activities. CASI also employs seven senior advocates who work with older adults, their families and caregivers to connect them with resources and care options, with the goal of helping them stay independent, enjoy an improved quality of life and remain connected to their community. A nationally accredited senior center since 2005, CASI has experienced continued growth in all areas of service, programs and activity offerings.
