Volunteers are needed to help with traffic control during the 2014 Bike the Ridge event on Sunday, September 28. The ride will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2014 between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Ridge Avenue will be closed to ALL vehicular traffic from Howard to Church Streets. This event is limited to those on non-motorized bicycles only (motorized bicycles or skateboards are not allowed). more

Consider becoming a District 65 Everybody Reads Fluency Tutor. Volunteers are trained to become a fluency tutor and will be matched with a 2nd-5th grade classroom. Last year, 150+ volunteers served in all 12 of Evanston's elementary and magnet schools. As a fluency volunteer, you are matched with a specific teacher based on their literacy block and your availability. You tutor once or twice each wee more
