Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Volunteers will help seniors who need help getting out of their homes after a snowfall. Volunteers should be available to clear driveways and/or walkways so that seniors can make it to medical appointments, a neighbor's house, or even their own mailbox. Each individual volunteer or group will be matched with a senior to shovel snow whenever there is an accumulation of 3" of snow or more. Senior will provide the snow shovel. If you'd like to do this, we know someone who needs your help. Benefits include good, old-fashioned fresh air and exercise; seeing the difference you make in someone's life; and contributing to the greater good of your community.

There is no special training requirement. Dependability, common courtesy, and a willingness to help others are all that is required.
