Last updated on November 14, 2011

Do you enjoy being outside? Have a green thumb? Interested in learning about gardens (current and those from the 1800’s)? Join the Museum gardeners and other volunteers to help with regular maintenance of our annual and perennial gardens, planting, weeding, watering and pruning. You’ll have a chance to be outside and learn more about the Museum’s beautiful grounds. In addition you’ll have many opportunities to interact with visitors. Volunteers are needed from April 15 through November 15. Flexible morning, afternoon, or evening shifts available 7 days a week. Training and tools will be provided. Volunteers should be 16 or older. Individuals or groups are welcome to apply.

Volunteers should be able and motivated to work outside. It is helpful, but not necessary, to be able to kneel. Garden staff will train volunteers in proper gardening techniques.
