Volunteers deliver hot, nutritious meals to homebound elders. Drivers pick up food at central location and deliver to residential locations on their route. Volunteers visit with people receiving food to be sure all is well with them and report any changes and/or concerns to CVAA staff. Benefits include seeing the difference you make in someone's life, contributing to your community, obtaining experience working with seniors, and receiving ongoing support and recognition from CVAA staff. Time commitment varies from 1 day per week to 1 day per month, from approximately 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. weekdays. Training provided. Drivers needed in Chittenden, Grand Isle, Franklin & Addison Counties.

Requirements include reliable transportation and clean driving record, background checks, ability to understand and navigate routes, flexibility to accommodate last minute changes, punctuality and commitment to the program, friendly and open-minded about differing lifestyles.
