Volunteer Reflections Post Your Own!
Overall Experience

Welcoming team, fun volunteer opportunity for all.

Unfortunately I don't always have a consistent schedule so I haven't volunteered that much, 2 or 3 practices, but it has been a great experience and I look forward to helping out during the game & clinic on July 25th. I moved here a few months ago and feel like Burlington is a great place for families or students but there aren't a lot of people in between so it's been hard to feel a part of my new place of residency (not yet willing to call it home) but volunteering has helped me gain more of a sense of community while I am able to help others. I am still learning a lot about the game, but hopefully am an asset to them too. The players and their families are all so welcoming and teach me how to assist them. I appreciate the NDAA and power wheelchair soccer team allowing me to volunteer. I am not not a soccer player but am an athlete and love the intrinsic motivation and competitive edge some of the players possess and the way they still laugh and make it a fun atmosphere for participants and volunteers of a range of abilities. I would definitely recommend volunteering here to others of all ages and abilities.
