CHAMP - Champlain Adaptive Mounted Program
Last updated on April 4, 2016

CHAMP is a non-profit, volunteer driven, PATH Premier Accredited Center providing year round horse assisted activities and therapy with dignity and respect for all.

CHAMP adapts and develops programs to meet the needs of children and adults with physical, cognitive, emotional and behavioral challenges.

CHAMP works in partnership with other organizations to develop specialized programs

Horse back riding is widely recognized as one of the most beneficial forms of therapy that those with special needs can receive. It develops self-awareness, builds self-confidence, improves concentration and discipline while the motion of the horse provides the rider with exercise, improved balance and core strength.

CHAMP is a PATH, International Center. All instructors are PATH International. certified.

CHAMP's focus is on each rider's capability. We build on strengths and adapt to limitations so that everyone who participates in our program learns to ride to the best of his/her ability. CHAMP provides an opportunity to form a community based upon an appreciation for the capabilities and needs of people with physical and cognitive challenges, and a shared interest in horseback riding.
