The VYCC is a statewide, year-round, non-profit conservation and education organization with the mission of teaching individuals to take personal responsibility for their actions.

Description:
The VYCC is a statewide nonprofit youth service, conservation, and education organization modeled after the 1930's Civilian Conservation Corps that instills the values of personal responsibility, hard work, education, and respect for the environment in young people. VYCC Corps Members ages 16-24 work, live and study together in small groups, completing priority conservation and park management projects under the guidance of highly-trained adult leaders. Each of the VYCC’s programs emphasizes education and personal development and includes a daily integrated cycle of reading, work, discussion, writing, and team building."
