Statement of Values

CSC is committed to social change. We strive to reflect this value in our role as housing developer, property manager, service provider and in our role as a nonprofit organization and employer. Change requires innovation, self reflection, long range planning, prudent risk taking, continuous improvement, focus on a vision and the ability to act when opportunities for social change arise.

CSC is committed to respectful and effective communication. We strive to treat all of our customers with respect including our residents, partners and fellow employees. We expect ethical treatment of each other.

CSC is committed to building the loyalty of each member of the organization. We strive to recruit and retain staff who recognize their role in meeting CSC's mission and goals. This value requires a commitment to openness and tactful candor between all members, and recognition that every individual action affects the team.

CSC is committed to responsible stewardship. We will manage our resources to maximize benefits for those we serve. Those we serve include individual recipients of our programs, employees and the larger society. Our resources include our skills and experience as well as our financial resources.

CSC is committed to quality. A high quality organization is strong financially, is continuously increasing staff skills, and advocates for improved quality of services.

CSC is committed to integrity. Integrity requires humility, honesty, openness, authenticity, and an alignment of our values with our actions. Integrity at the individual and organizational levels will bring trust and respect of CSC's leadership by the community, thereby enabling social change.
