Franklin-Grand Isle United Way
| Last updated on November 2, 2012 |
Our mission is to increase the organized capacity for people to care for one another.
Description:
The Franklin-Grand Isle United Way is a voluntary human service organization focused on building community resources and problem solving. With its volunteer Board of Directors made up of a diverse group of 20 local citizens, it works to see that much-needed health and human service programs are delivered efficiently and effectively in the two-county region. Addressing the local needs of a community is no longer just a matter of dollars; it is about leveraging those dollars to mobilize the caring power of that community. Our United Way does this by building on community assets, identifying needs, raising awareness, encouraging volunteerism, providing leadership training, and allocating funds to programs which meet high performance standards.
