Weekly Spotlight: Char-Em United Way

Blitz through town to benefit your neighbors!   Char-Em United Way   This is your chance to network with businesses while helping Char-Em United Way meet our campaign goal! Char-Em United Way runs an annual campaign that supports health and human services in our community. During our Small Business Blitz local businesses will be asked in advance to donate and help meet the community need. On October 6 we need volunteers to spend 2 – 3 hours visiting businesses that are expecting a United Way volunteer to stop in and answer questions. Volunteers will provide information about how United Way is meeting community needs and encourage businesses to support the campaign. They will collect any donation the business provides and report pledges for announcement on Lite 96.3 FM. Volunteers need reliable transportation and must be comfortable speaking with new people. Volunteers will be canvassing downtown districts. Training and a Live United T-shirt provided. We'll give you a list of businesses to visit.
