Senior Volunteer Program

Share wisdom and love as a Foster Grandparent

You can make a difference in a child's life! The Foster Grandparent Program engages persons 55 and older (particularly those with limited incomes) in volunteer service to meet critical community needs with children. Foster Grandparent volunteers extend their love and wisdom and devote time and attention to nurture an infant, a child, or a teenager who otherwise might not receive heartfelt sharing and caring by lending a helping hand to foster character development, promote educational growth and hearten an overall sense of well being.

Elementary school teachers, social workers and principles reported that 87% of students assigned to a Foster Grandparent Volunteer showed a substantial improvement in reading and math.
