Provide Compassionate Care

The Community  Free Clinic

The CFC is in need of more volunteer PROVIDERS (including PHYSICIANS, NURSE PRACTITIONERS AND PHYSICIAN'S ASSISTANTS). NURSES, PHARMACISTS and PHARMACY TECHS.
The Community Free clinic provides healthcare to low-income, uninsured residents of Emmet County. We have a very small paid staff and are able to offer medical services only through the generous contribution our volunteers give of their time and expertise. Our patients are not covered by state or federal government health programs, they are truly the working poor. Most of our patients are age 18 to 64, with an occasional pediatric problem. If sick children present we see them and then refer them on to state services. You would be volunteering in collaboration with other medical professionals from our community. Patient problems range from a sore throat to a recent heart attack. Through the generosity of our donors we are able to provide labs, x-rays, medications, diabetic supplies and even specialist consults. We are proud of the high quality, compassionate care that we are able to deliver.

Must be currently licensed and in good professional standing in the State of Michigan and our community. Knowledge of family medicine preferred.
