Sales Marketing Assistant- Volunteer or Internship Opportunity Available!

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Port Discovery Children's Museum serves pre-K through elementary schools from across the state of Maryland, Pennsylvania, DC, and more! Our School/Group Sales Manager talks to principals and teachers in public schools, private schools, special needs schools, and many more. We are currently in need of a volunteer or intern to assist in the following areas:

1. Assist School Group Sales Manager in researching markets, helping to develop materials for ads, implementing sales strategies, as well as filing, faxing, data entry, and mailings.
2. Duties could include: sending announcements to newsletters, websites, and small publications, sending snail mail and mass email projects, researching contact information, create requests for graphics and marketing materials, developing reports, sending faxes, operating copy machines, data entry, making labels, stuffing packets, work on special projects with manager as needed.

Good computer and phone skills, neat, organized, detail oriented, a problem solver, innovative. Be familiar with Outlook, Internet, Excel and other computer programs Clerical experience, proof reading, and being familiar with ACT is helpful. Artistic or graphic skills are always welcome! Training will be done by School Group Sales Manager.
