Volunteer Job Description
Is reading one of your favorite pastimes? Do you love books? Do you have time to volunteer in a room with wall to wall books? The Friends of Westlake Porter Public Library are looking for volunteers. As a volunteer your duties will be to sort, sell, and put away books in The Book Nook. The Book Nook is Westlake Public Library’s resale book store. You will also be directing people to where books are located and boxing extra books for storage. We are open the following days and times: Monday 4:00-7:00, Wednesday 10:00 to 2:00, and Saturday 10:00 to 2:00 and Sundays 1:30-3:30 (during the school year). We also have a yearly four day book sale event and a yearly Ice Cream Social in which we need volunteers. If interested in volunteering please contact Linda Worthington at lindaworthington@gmail.com. We hope that you could volunteer two to three times a month. If calling the library at (440) 871-2600, ask to be transferred to the "Friends of the Library" mailbox.
Training will be required to learn how to shelve books in the proper place. Most be able to lift books and other library materials. This opportunity is sponsored by: Friends Of Porter Public Library
