G.A.S.P.'s Fingerprinting/ID Kit events have reached over 10,000 people! We provide ID discs to everyone, in any area of Summit County and surrounding areas for FREE! The discs take 5 - 10 minutes each to make and they include photos, video, electronic fingerprints, and all pertinent information about the children. We also distribute safety tips, valuable prevention information, and DNA kits! We average 50 events a year and they are held any time of day and any day of the week. It takes 3 people at each computer and we have 4 that we use at all times.
We also need volunteers to go to the trials of sex offenders to show support to the victim and their family and also to let the Judges and Defense Atty. know we are "watching" the outcome and the sentence!

Every volunteer must fill out an application and have a background check due to the subject matter we are dealing with.

We are located in downtown Akron in the Sheriff's Office. The building is located between Main St. and Broadway. We are located next to, but behind, the courthouse that is on Broadway.
