ARF is seeking dedicated individuals to serve as members of the Animal Transport Team. Volunteers are needed to help transport cats and dogs to and from the shelter to vet visits and foster care and to pick up animals from other area shelters and bring them to safety at ARF. This is a cleaning shift which involves cleaning of cat cages, laundry, and general, light cleaning (sweeping and straightening up) of cat building (cats are currently housed in a large trailer). The Berea Animal Rescue Friends (ARF) has a need for volunteers to work with dogs. Help is needed on an early morning dog care shift starting around 7:15 a.m. until about 8:00 a.m. to get the dogs out to the enclosed kennel area to relieve themselves. Provide a temporary loving home to kittens who need a little time to grow up, a cat who is pregnant, a mom cat with kittens, or cats recovering from illness or injury. Volunteers needed to monitor up to ten cats housed at the Petco Westgate and Strongsville stores. These volunteers would give cats TLC, play time and meet with the public to discuss adoptable cats. This is a very fun and rewarding volunteer opportunity for those who love animals and want to help in rescue efforts.
