It is very easy to give back utilizing this volunteer opportunity.
Volunteers are needed to assist with the carrying out of food, gathering of organized bags of food for food "runners", clean up of boxes and general clean up following distribution.
Food has already been organized into canned, dry, bread, cold and milk to allow a quick process of distribution on the Thursday following the third Wednesday of each month. Volunteers are requested to help distribute and carry out groceries to vehicles for families.
No training is required.
Show up ready to work and leave with a feeling of accomplishment knowing that people in need will have food.

Overall Experience

Leave with a great feeling of being a part of the community.

I have had the opportunity to volunteer with Matthew 25 Mission. What a great way to truly see faces that are affected by our volunteerism! So many hugs and tears of thanks to all who help with this activity. It would be difficult to leave the volunteer opportunity without knowing that you have made a difference. I found the experience to be excellent! posted by Latricia.Bryant@adaunitedway.org on December 8, 2011 |
