Volunteers & Organizations Needed to Host Blood Drives

RSS XML FeedBackground Active Sep 17, 2005 to Oct 4, 2005

Due to increased blood needs following Hurricane Katrina, the American Red Cross is in great need of volunteers and additional settings for local blood drives.  These events take place during daytime hours on weekdays. Volunteers are needed as greeters and assistants providing refreshments to donors after they have given blood.  Churches and workplace space are ideal settings for blood drive centers.

To volunteer yourself or your organization, please contact Susan Morseth of the American Red Cross Blood Services, Chesapea and Potomac Region.  Her email is morseth@usa.redcross.org. The toll-free number is 1-800-272-0094, ext. 1.
