Swing a Hammer for a Great Cause!

We need 15-20 enthusiastic and strong hammer-wielding adults (no one under 16, please, because of old nails, etc.) who will help us take down an old run-down wooden fence so that we can begin to build a children's play area. This service will take place on Saturday, August 20 from 9 am to 3 pm. We will provide cold drinks and lunch (pizza!) for those who give their time. After we remove the old fence, professionals will regrade the area and install benches, picnic table and a slide. Then the families at this low- and moderate-income apartment community will have a back yard play area where they can gather and create a sense of community and fun. Bring your own hammers, please, and a willing spirit. No children please (16 and older) because of the hazards of working with old wood and nails.
