Volunteers Needed For Emergency Public Health Simulation

Help test Arlington County's Volunteer Management Systems during a simulated public health emergency on Saturday, October 21st from 9 am to 12 noon. The Public Health Volunteer Management Drill will take place at the Fenwick Center -- 800 S. Walter Reed Drive, Arlington, VA 22204. This is an important opportunity to validate plans for the integrated management of volunteers during a county emergency.

Participants will enact registering as "spontaneous" volunteers during simulation of a pandemic flu disaster scenario. A video on emergency preparedness will also be shown for those who wish to learn more.  

Volunteers should sign up in advance for arrival times of either 9 am or 10 am.  Participants should bring a government-issued identification card (driver’s license, passport, etc.).   Refreshments will be provided.

Note: Medical Reserve Corp Volunteers will be contacted separately and will report directly to the Career Center -- 816 S. Walter Reed Drive -- between 8:30 am and 10:30 am.
