The emergency winter shelter is open every night of the week from November through March each year. In addition to providing a place to sleep at night, the shelter offers outreach, case management, medical, substance abuse and mental health services, as well as meals, laundry, and showers. There are six main volunteer posts at the shelter: Intake, Food, Hygiene, Supplies, Clothing, and Overnight and Breakfast Assistant. There are three volunteer shifts to cover: 6:30pm-9:30pm, 10:00pm-7:00am, and 5:45am-7:00am. Orientation and training will be provided.
