
Visit senior adults at selected Arlington County senior centers and activity sites with the Library's Homebound Specialist. Visit once a month to bring library materials and meet with residents. Provide a Friends and Library presence at the centers, promote relevant library services, and encourage the joy of reading. Select appropriate books and fill specific requests to take to the centers. Training and supervision provided by the Library Homebound specialist. A friendly, warm, outgoing personality is a must as is an interest in and enthusiasm for bringing books to senior adults. Organizational skills are a plus. The ability to lift boxes loaded with 15-20 books is also needed. Your own transportation is helpful.
