A one-to-one relationship makes all the difference. That's why our teens come back year after year to receive academic help and friendship from our volunteer tutors. Will you help these teens set academic and personal goals and achieve them? The Teen Tutoring program meets once per week in the evening from 6:30-8:00 pm throughout the school year(Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays). At 6 different sites in Arlington, volunteer tutors help students with homework, encourage youth to build their academic skills through a variety of activities and get to know the youth through conversation and shared experience. This program is already underway for the 2006-2007 school year. We have more registered teens than tutors right now. We can really use your help! We ask volunteers to commit to the rest of the school year and a criminal background check (for which a $10 payment is requested). This opportunity is sponsored by: AHC Inc. We need volunteers who are free at these times | | Evenings | | |
