Our all-volunteer organization is looking for volunteers to visit and deliver meals to homebound individuals. Some of our clients are aging, some are ill, and some have acute or chronic injuries. This service helps our clients remain independent in their own homes. This opportunity takes 1.5 hours and the clients are very pleased to have a cheerful hello and a quick delivery of the meal. You probably have clients located in your own neighborhood. We have 18 routes covering all of Arlington. The commitment is 1.5 - 3 hours per month. Many of our volunteers take extended lunch hours from their jobs. Many employers allow our volunteers comp time for volunteer service. We operate Mondays - Fridays from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Training is provided.
