Taste of Arlington (May 16)

May 16, 2004: 17^th Annual Taste of Arlington

Taste of Arlington benefitimg the Arlington Community Residences is the largest one-day street festival in Arlington. Held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm in Ballston on Wilson Blvd. between Glebe Road and Randolph Street, adjacent to the Ballston Common Mall, it features ethnically diverse food from local restaurants, a fine dining pavilion, family and children's activities including a mobile rainforest and planetarium sponsored by the National Science Foundation, a children's activity and fun area, live entertainment, dancing in the streets, vendor fair, and much, much more!

Admission is FREE. Ticket cards, good for 8 "tastes," are available for $20 when purchased by 5:00 pm on Friday, May 14, 2004. Ticket cards purchased at the event are $25. Take Metrorail (Orange Line) to Ballston-MU, ride Metrobus Route 38 and Arlington Transit (ART), or park in Ballston Common garage.

Community Residences, Inc. (CR) is a leading non-profit provider of programs and services for individuals with mental retardation, mental illness, physical disabilities and the homeless that serves over 1,200 individuals with disabilities each year.
