Walk MS 2012 Volunteers Needed

RSS XML FeedBackground Active Jan 21, 2012 to Feb 1, 2012

Walk MS is our rallying point, a time and a place for us to stand together and to be together — to help raise critical funds that support cutting edge research, drive change through advocacy, facilitate professional education and provide programs and services to help people with MS move their lives forward.

If you have a caring attitude and like to help others, we have a job for you! Our success is directly related to the wonderful volunteers who help make the event go off without a hitch. We welcome volunteers with a wide range of talents and skills. There is only one requirement: you have to want to do something about MS NOW.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Participant Check-in (check walkers in and distribute T-shirts day of event)

  • Event Site Support (set up/breakdown/overall maintenance of event site, direct participants, etc)

  • Meal Support (set-up, distribution, clean-up)

  • Rest Stop Support (set up provided materials, distribute goods & cheer on participants)

  • Route Marking (place signs along the route so riders know where they are going)

  • Truck Driver – DMV background check required (drop off & pick up rest stop materials along route)

  • Truck Buddy (assist Truck Driver)

  • Medical Support (MDs, RNs, LPNs, EMTs, etc. – at event site and at rest stops)
