The Arlington Chapter of the American Red Cross is seeking new volunteers for all kinds of volunteer opportunities -- in disaster services (assisting victims, providing education, supporting relief workers), biomedical services (helping at blood drives, promoting the importance of blood donation), health and safety services (teaching CPR, First Aid, Water Safety, Pet First Aid), military services (supporting local security services, assisting with community drills), youth services (mentoring youth volunteers, supervising volunteer projects), and much more! Orientations for new volunteers are held approximately twice each month. See our website at www.arlingtonredcross.org for a list of upcoming dates.
Our volunteers must be at least 12 years old. We have something for people of all skill levels and interests. Appropriate training is always provided, and background checks are required for ALL volunteers (this process will be discussed in more detail at the orientation). We will make arrangements for wheelchair access and non-English speakers, but need to know ahead of time.
