Arlington Arts Center Seeking Mural Workshop Volunteers

CHILDREN’S EVENT:  TYVEK MURAL WORKSHOP @ CRYSTAL CITY

Sunday, October 28, 2007 ~ 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The Arlington Arts Center is looking for 2 or 3 volunteers to assist with a children's mural workshop in Crystal City.  A temporary 150-foot sheet of DuPont™ Tyvek® will hang on the northern-most wall of the Route 1 overpass at 18th Street.  Led by artist Heidi Moyer with the assistance of volunteers, children will draw an outline of their silhouette and then paint colorful costume images and Halloween themes against the Tyvek hanging.

Please bring a smock, and wear clothes that can get art supplies on them. This volunteer opportunity is enjoyable for artists and teachers but anyone is welcome to help during this fun event. Volunteers can assist for a partial or full day, however please confirm the time period you can be present.
