Tutor/Mentors For Teens

A one-to-one relationship makes all the difference. That's why our teens come back year after year to receive academic help and friendship from our volunteer tutors. Will you help these teens set academic and personal goals and achieve them?

The Teen Tutoring program of  AHC Inc. meets once per week in the evening from 6:30-8:00 pm throughout the school year (Mondays - Fridays). At 6 different sites in Arlington, volunteer tutors help students with homework, encourage youth to build their academic skills through a variety of activities and get to know the youth through conversation and shared experience.

We are currently recruiting volunteers for the 2007-2008 school year. There are many teens interested in signing up for this program in the Fall, so we are in great need of volunteers!

We ask volunteers to commit to one evening a week for the entire school year. A criminal background check is also required(for which a $10 payment is requested).
