The Arlington-Alexandria Coalition for the Homeless (AACH) is gearing up for the 4thAnnual Look Cool for School (LCS) program, and we need your support! LCS is designed to provide a new outfit to each AACH student for their first day of school. Oftentimes an exciting part of starting the school year for students is having a special new outfit for the first day. Unfortunately, many of our students do not have this experience. Again this school year, AACH, with the help of volunteers, would like to provide our students with the opportunity to receive something new.
We are asking that each volunteer commit to purchasing a complete outfit for the student, including a pair of pants, a shirt, underwear, socks, and a pair of shoes for the child they adopt. If you would like to support the Look Cool for School program, but are unable to adopt a student, AACH would gladly accept gift certificates of any amount to stores where clothing can be purchased (i.e. Target, Old Navy, etc.).
If you are interested in participating, please complete the LCS participation form and return it to Ginny Biggs (FAX: 703-525-0750) by August 3. AACH will assign you a student soon after and would like to receive the donations by August 24. As always, thank you for your support! |
