Artisphere Seeks Gallery Docents For Exhibit

RSS XML FeedBackground Active Jan 17, 2012 to Feb 14, 2012

Artisphere will be the first and only U.S. venue to present Frida Kahlo: Her Photos, an exhibition of photographs—previously in storage and sealed until 2007—revealing private moments of this extraordinary figure's private life. Frida Kahlo: Her Photos will be on view at Artisphere from Feb 23-March 25. This exhibition presents 259 replicated images from Frida Kahlo's personal collection of over 6,000 photographs.

During the course of this exhibition, we will need at least 2 staff members on duty in the gallery during our hours of operation (to include times reserved for VIP viewings). One of those coveted staff positions has been reserved for an Artisphere volunteer, or Gallery Docent. Gallery Docents will receive training on the exhibition prior to its opening. Docents will partner with a part-time Arts Ambassador to staff the gallery desk in order to answer questions about the exhibition and engage with the public. Gallery Docents may also be asked to help out with any opening/VIP receptions. Both daytime and evening shifts are available.
