
Emergency Volunteer Program Specialist Arlington County's Office of Emergency Management is currently recruiting for a Part-Time Emergency Volunteer Program Specialist position to assist with Volunteer Arlington's support to county and volunteer emergency preparedness programming.
This position is specifically responsible for supporting the work of Emergency Support Function 17: Volunteer & Donations Management, overseen by the County's Office of Emergency Management. ESF-17 is tasked with developing and implementing systems to manage and coordinate spontaneous volunteers and donated goods during an emergency/disaster.
Specific responsibilities for this position include:
This position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent oral and written communication including public speaking. Supervision is received from the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) with direct managerial oversight by the County's Volunteer Service Program Coordinator.
