Volunteers for Arlington County Government were honored by the County Board at a reception April 22 attended by the County Manager and key staff departmental leadership. Special recognition awards were presented to 12 Outstanding Volunteers --including both individuals and teams. More than 3000 volunteers serve in county direct service programs as well as on County Board-appointed commissions and advisory committees. Names of all volunteers, plus photos of Outstanding Volunteer award winners, are on display in the lobby of Central Library until May 8.
