NLPOA is the largest Latino law enforcement organization in the United States. The Arlington Chapter is sponsoring a fundraising event to benefit the American Red Cross' efforts for Hurricane Katrina/Rita victims. The event will take place at the National Science Foundation, 4201 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, Virginia. The event will feature 3 live bands -- "La Romana", "La Sensual" and "Latin Soul" as well as the incomparable DJBruno "El Unico". At the same time, participating restaurants will be providing 10 tastes of their cuisines to each contributor. Raffle prizes are provided by Best Buy, Express Jewelers, and local restaurants. A donation of $20.00 is requested and greatly appreciated. All proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross. Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, greeting the attendees and helping out in the information booth. Contact: Sgt. Irma Rivera, Arlington Co. Police Department (703-228-4146) |
