How Hurricane Katrina Evacuees Can Get Help

Steps to Obtain Assistance

Step 1:  Evacuees should register for assistance with FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) if they have not already done so.

Step 2:  Evacuees should contact the Arlington County Department of Human Services (DHS) for additional assistance. 

            Examples of Possible Assistance:

   Step 3:  If help is needed filing 2005 federal tax returns, contact the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
