
Greg Castano has been selected as the new Volunteer Services Program Coordinator for Arlington County. Greg brings to the position 4+ years of experience working for the Volunteer Office and a wealth of experience in program management and community building from the non-profit, consulting, and education fields. Before joining Arlington County in 2003 and helping to launch the county’s Online Volunteer Connection and Community Role Models initiative, Greg held positions with Project Performance Corporation – a federal government consultancy, Indiana University’s Hutton Honors College, Teach For America – the National Teacher Corps, and AmeriCorps – President Clinton’s National Service Program. Greg has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) with a focus on Public Management and Information Systems. Greg is also a Certified Public Manager (CPM) through George Washington University’s (GWU) Center for Excellence in Municipal Management and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Government’s (COG) Institute for Regional Excellence. |
