Arlington County will have a GET INVOLVED table at the Arlington County Fair. Come by and learn about county government volunteer opportunities and other programs available. Below are brief descriptions of this year's featured programs:
Arlington Public Schools: Work in the schools to provide support to students, teachers, and staff Community Volunteer Network: Get up, get out, and get involved with an active social network of young adults in Arlington Medical Reserve Corps / Public Health Services: Address ongoing community public health needs and assist with large scale public health emergencies Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Volunteer Office: Serve as an aid in an adapted aquatics class, be special event assistants, help remove invasive plants, lead a 4-H club, and much, much more Phoenix Bikes: Help youth explore and develop teamwork, social entrepreneurship, and self confidence through building and running great community bike shops Volunteer Emergency Support Team: Assist with managing spontaneous, unaffiliated volunteers during an emergency incident Wisdom Works: Get involved with Arlington's innovative civic engagement program for experienced adults
