Volunteer Opportunity Details:
The help desk provides information and support related to the services available on the second floor. Tasks include troubleshooting the PCs, copiers and microfilm readers, answering directional questions, signing people up for library cards, and providing access to magazines and newspapers.
Volunteers need to have good customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English. Fluency in a second language is a plus. Also needed is knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and a willingness to commit to a regular schedule. Those 18 years and older must consent to a background check. Training will be provided.
