Volunteer Opportunity - Employment Mentor

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Help a new resident secure employment, while gaining insight into the refugee experience and learning about a new culture. Support and encourage new refugees, immigrants, and asylees in search of employment by: assisting with the job search application process; practicing interview skills; creating a résumé and providing transportation for job-related activities; organizing employment workshops and support groups.

To volunteer with ECDC, interested employment mentors must fill out a volunteer application, attend a volunteer orientation, and pass a background check. Orientations take place twice a month; contact us to confirm the date of the next orientation. Once you have completed the orientation and application process, the Resource Development Coordinator will inform you about the status of your application.
