Backpack Stuffing for Low Income Children Community Volunteer Network Opportunities Group Opportunities 50+ Opportunities Family Friendly Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on July 30, 2015

APAH is running it's Annual Backpack Drive and needs the help of enthusiastic volunteers to be successful. We provide over 400 backpacks to children in low to mid income families to help them start the new school year with all their supplies. A group of volunteers is needed to organize donated school supplies into grade appropriate bags to stuff backpacks and bags (see dates and times below). For example, placing all the supplies a first grader will need in a bag so they can just pick up the supplies and than chose their backpack. This would be a great project for a group!

We are also seeking donations of new backpacks and supplies. See our online drive posting for more details: https://www.roonga.com/apahschoolsupplydrive/

All are welcome. There are not training requirements for this opportunity. Children are welcome to help as long as they are accompanied by and adult who is also able to volunteer.
