Volunteer Opportunity Details:
Volunteer groups are needed to pull, uproot, and cut invasive exotic plants. Invasives threaten to squeeze out our native plants and trees. Associated wildlife and whole ecosystems are being harmed. You can learn about both native and invasive plants and truly make a difference in protecting the environment. Groups find that these projects increase their esprit de corps. Volunteers should be able to walk on their own on trail and off-trail in forested areas. This opportunity is sponsored by: Appalachian Trail Volunteers
